Koster's Steel Constructions is a medium size structural steel fabrication business with its main operation base in Albany (South West of WA).

Universal Drafting prepares shop detail drawings for all our major projects. The projects vary from small 15 tonne jobs to larger jobs up to 200 tonnes. They are all commercial building projects such as school buildings, shopping centers and warehouse / factory developments.

Geoff Osborne as the managing director is very hands on in the operation, he responds to quotes and queries very efficiently. He is supported by a very good team, they are all pleasant to deal with, and also knowledgeable. Any queries they have are resolved directly with the engineers or builders and whilst they keep us informed, we do not have to get involved which allows us to get on with our jobs!

The drawings that we receive, either electronically or hard copies ready for manufacturing (which ever we request), are of a very high standard. Our fabricators seldom require further information. Our site rigging teams also have no trouble following marking plans and erection drawings.

We would highly recommend Universal Drafting for any structural detailing projects. Our only reservation would be that we don’t want them to get too busy so that we can’t get them to do all our work!
